Family Planning

The Doctors and Practice Nurses offer a range of family planning advice during their routine surgeries. A wide range of family planning services, including IUD and IUS (coil) and contraceptive implant insertion and removal, are available. Screening for STIs (including chlamydia) is also available. All consultations are treated in the strictest confidence.

Emergency Contraception

Practice Nurses/Doctors will see registered and non-registered patients for emergency contraception. It is important that you are seen as soon as possible. If a routine appointment is not available please explain why you need to see the Nurse/Doctor, and the receptionists will do their best to arrange an appointment for you.

Sexual Health for under 25s

Our Practice Nurses can provide a confidential service to everyone under 25, including under 16s, whether registered at the Practice or not. They can give information about sexual health such as contraception, sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy, and give emergency after sex contraception. Condoms are available free of charge – you just need to show your C card to the receptionist.

Some of our Nurses and Doctors are able to register patients for a C card, which will allow you to collect free condoms. Please ask at reception if you would like to register for a C card so that they can book you in with the right clinician.
